Stage design for "Barefoot in the Park" - a Broadway comedy by Neil Simon and directed by Che Kwok Cheung. Gene created a meticulously crafted set of a 1960s New York brownstone apartment. He skillfully integrated oriental elements into the design to authentically portray daily life of Chinese immigrants during that era.
